The Penmen Review is Southern New Hampshire University’s online journal for creative writers, featuring resource articles, spotlight interviews and writing in all genres, selected by our editorial board from submitted work.
The Review: We accept original poetry, essays, book and script excerpts, and short stories. Writers may submit a maximum of 3 poems per submission or one longer piece of writing (maximum 2,500 words).
Writing Resources: We encourage writers and industry professionals to share tips, advice and first-person articles. (300-1,500 words)
General to all submissions:
All writing should be submitted as a Word document.
Please be sure to include your name and email address on the Word document.
PDFs or submissions without the writer’s name and email address will not receive consideration for publication.
Simultaneous submissions are accepted and writers retain all rights to their work. There are no submission fees for writers for submissions nor are fees paid.
