The Penwood Review has been established to embrace high quality poetry of all kinds, and to provide a forum for poets who want to write intriguing, energetic, and disciplined poetry as an expression of their faith in God. We encourage writing that elevates the sacred while exploring its mystery and meaning in our lives.
Poets may submit up to 5 poems at a time. Writers may submit 2 essays at a time.
Poems may be up to two pages in length. Essays may be up to three typed pages in length (double-spaced).
WE ARE URGING ALL WRITERS TO SUBMIT THEIR WORK EXCLUSIVELY ONLINE. PLEASE SEND SUBMISSIONS TO penwoodreview@gmail.com.
Send a stamped, self-addressed envelope with any correspondence or inquiries. Do not send submissions. Our mailing address is P. O. Box 862, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.
Do not submit previously published work or work under consideration elsewhere.
Readings are done only in February and August. Please submit closer to those months for faster response.
